Next Level Church Gateway

Project Overview

This Construction Management project, the Next Level Church – Gateway Campus, located in Fort Myers, Florida, is a new 19,500 SF pre-engineered structure on 7.5 Acres. The project features an auditorium, foyer, classrooms for children and youth offices for their staff and full site development with parking. The project reflects the same style as the main campus of Next Level Church on Plantation Road, which was built by J.L. Wallace, Inc. in April 2011.

Challenges

We were involved with the design process, from the beginning, for over one year reviewing various design concepts to find the right balance of cost and atheistic to match the existing campus. One of the overall goals of this project was to create a prototype structure that could be easily built in other locations with minimal alteration to meet the local design requirements. In addition to this, heavy emphasis was put on the Audio/Visual systems utilized in the various environments which required careful consideration and design coordination for room layouts, electrical, lighting and low voltage infrastructure. As a “hybrid” building, designed to meet the above-mentioned design criteria, the pre-engineered metal building with combined stucco façade, dyed and polished concrete floors and standing seam metal roof created several construction phasing challenges, but these challenges were met with enthusiasm by the J.L. Wallace team and were swiftly resolved. Due to Direct Material Purchases the Church saved over $39,708.
