Verandah Fitness Center

Project Overview

This improvement/renovation project, the Verandah Fitness Center, located in Fort Myers, Florida, is a renovation of the existing fitness center and a new 2,700 sq. ft. addition. The new addition houses a large fitness and aerobics room, additional bathrooms, and an expanded workout room as well as a new resort style pool with enlarged pool deck & pool cabanas.

Challenges

Renovations and additions always pose particular challenges interfacing and coordinating with the existing infrastructure. However, this project was particularly challenging as it served as the fitness and athletic center for the community with surrounding tennis courts. The goal during the construction process was to minimize down time for the facility and minimize the disturbance to the surrounding residents and community members utilizing the facilities Gladstone achieved this by coordinating closely with the operators of the fitness facility and diligently planning the construction process to ensure once shut downs occurred the new work was completed quickly and efficiently allowing the facility to reopen.
